Annual smoke alarm / detector inspection service includes:

  • Cleaning of the alarm/ detector and surrounding areas
  • Blowing our detector with compressed air
  • Battery testing and replacement if needed
  • Testing all smoke alarms/detectors throughout the property
  • Testing of interconnected alarms/detectors.
  • Replacement of faulty and expired smoke alarms/detectors
  • Identification of the type and functions of the smoke alarm
  • Records of each smoke alarm/detector showing the location and expiry date
  • Compliance report right after the completion of the inspection
  • The preservation of records detailing that the property is compliant with current smoke alarm/detector legislation. This includes smoke alarm/detector positioning according to the Building Code of Australia and compliance with the Australian Standards AS 3786-1993
  • Providing advice regarding compliance with state-relevant smoke alarm/detector legislation
  • Assessment of the overall fire safety of the property

Qualifications & Safety

  • We guarantee that each job will be completed in compliance with the Australian Standards AS 3786-1993 and the Building Code of Australia. To ensure the upmost professional and technical standards, all specific service and installation requirements will be adhered to.
  • All technicians hold a National Police Certificate displaying a clean record.
  • An Affiliate Member of the Real Estate Institute.
  • All technicians have been fully trained in comprehensive smoke detector service training. This includes practical training in the field, practical training at our training facility and theoretical training in the office.
  • Current with Metropolitan Fire Brigade recommendations.

Any person who does not comply with current legislation is GUILTY of an OFFENCE.
